He just should not have addressed it at all. Simply answered the question and ignored the monster comment.
Then the MSM press would be calling on Romney to “condemn” the monster word used by the lady in the audience. Now, they cannot and the attention can focus on “Obama = monster”...not calling Romney out about it. Good play, IMO.
