You ask: “Serious question ~ why would the commies have to infiltrate the dock workers in Hawaii in the 1940s. Weren’t they under commie rule from the late 1910s?”

Well, you’ve got me stumped — there was a lot of new information for me in this film. When it came to the dock workers my thoughts went to Mafia control — but guess that was more East Coast. Maybe the film is at your library — I viewed a friend’s copy and no longer obtainable to check. Sorry.

Just doing a quick run through Google.com to see if there are references, they all neatly start at 1935 when the gang in Moscow authorized payments to agents to be assigned to Hawaii..

What that means is that whoever it was that was messing around in Hawaii earlier become inconvenient and they were simply disappeared.

Not surprised at all that Google.com is not showing a net reference. Will probably need to go to another browser to see what it shows.

There were STRIKES by field worker organizations earlier ~
