Nationwide, whites, Hispanics and blacks support them. MIT and Harvard Professor Stephen Ansolabehere studies the impact of voter ID laws. Pointing to a 2006 nationwide survey of 36,500 voters, conducted under a collaborative project by 37 universities, Ansolabehere writes: "Perhaps the most surprising demographic or political comparison arose with race. And the surprise was the lack of division. Over 70 percent of whites (77 percent), Hispanics (78 percent) and blacks (70 percent) support the requirement. Black and Hispanic voters did not express measurably less support for voter identification requirements than whites."

Photo voter ID laws, according to Attorney General Eric Holder, are a "poll tax."

Holder has the IQ of broccoli. For someone in his position to make such a statement is almost...almost...as stupid as someone saying that a business owner is only successful because the gov't allowed it to be so. Hmmm...if that's the case, clearly we can blame gov't for all businesses that fail, right? Now that seems more reasonable.

Someone once said that the voter fraud in Democrat Chicago was roughly balanced by the voter fraud in Republican downstate Illinois. Sighhh!!

"Many of those without IDs," Holder recently told the NAACP, "would have to travel great distances to get them -- and some would struggle to pay for the documents they might need to obtain them."

OK... so? They have 3 1/2 months. Save a few bucks and plan a trip to the DMV.

I agree. If it wasn't for that outstanding Democrat President Lincoln we would still have slavery.

After the Civic War the evil Republican Party established the Ku Klux Klan and They Lynched Blacks. They established separate but equal schools and invented the poll tax to ensure that the right to vote was subverted!

Most importantly the Demoncrap Party have been rewriting history ans passing the guilt to this generation's memory!

A Truly COMMUNIST TOOL to subdue the Masses!

How about a program similar to Meals on Wheels called ID on Wheels or something, where the registry would go to people’s homes or locations go get them id’s? I don’t think anybody would have any problem with getting the truly unable people from getting a proper id to vote.

But we all know that the desire is to keep people voting illegally and multiple times, etc.

Then I guess SAT testing is racist as well. They require ID and are very strict about it. I guess colleges don’t want minorities, who can’t get ID’s (Holder’s words, not mine), to go to college.

/sarcasm

Elder is brilliant and Mitt and the RNC should hire him to go into minority areas and make common sense statements, unlike the bribes of liberal Dems . After all, black and Hispanic voters if pushed, actually have the values of middle class white Pubs not leftist anti-American Dems. And of course, all 50 states should have picvoterID’s. It just makes sense and covers all areas of voter fraud. Dems are such knaves opposing this that all voters should question their motives.
