The Government Accountability Office has just issued a report on concealed carry in the United States that says there are at least 8 million active concealed carry permits, and anti-gun California Senator Dianne Feinstein immediately said the report is proof that national CCW reciprocity would endanger the lives of police and private citizens.
Gun Rights Examiner obtained a copy of the 90-page GAO document, which details differences in state requirements to obtain a concealed carry permit or, as they are called in Washington State, a concealed pistol license (CPL). Late Thursday afternoon, the Department of Licensing told this column that there are almost 371,000 active CPLs in the Evergreen State, making it one of the top states in terms of per-capita CPLs among the state’s 6 million-plus residents. Washington is one of the original “shall issue” states, with a state preemption law dating back almost 30 years. Despite the liberal leanings of voters in the along the I-5 corridor from Bellingham to Vancouver to drag this state to the left (let’s see how many long-term jobless people will vote for Barack Obama this time around), Washington is a very red state where gun rights and gun ownership are concerned. Even liberals here are armed.
However, Washington was not one of the nine states that GAO focused on to develop the report.
According to the GAO summary, “The number of states allowing concealed carry permits is increasing, and states broadly differ in eligibility requirements and the extent to which they have reciprocity agreements… As of March 2012, 39 states that issue permits and Vermont (permits not required) recognize concealed carry permits from other states. Of the 9 states that do not grant reciprocity, 8 are may-issue states.”

I heard shortly after 911 he had herself declared a Federal air marshal so she could carry on planes. Can’t remember where I heard it, but it’s easy to believe.
What a shame! With 8 million active permits you think she would have said they have already endangered the lives of police and private citizens.
She's got nothing so she speculates by using would.
