o—Up to 20 people have been injured in a shooting at a movie theater near Denver, police said.
Aurora, Colo. police said there are fatalities but they don't know how many. Police dispatchers said calls about the shooting started coming in about 12:30 a.m. local time Friday from a mall theater that was showing the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises."
Police said one person has been arrested, but no other details were available. Police spokeswoman Cassidee Carlson said "the scene is still very active and we have little information for release at this time."
Swedish Medical Center spokeswoman Nicole Williams said two of the injured have arrived at her hospital in critical condition, and the hospital has been told there could be several more.

Kid getting interviewed at the moment stated he heard an explosion first.
(Now I know i’ve heard they used gas or smoke first, never heard this)
Mom of kid said daughter said exit door by screen opened and someone threw something into the theatre (smoke, gas?). Within five minutes of the movie starting! Movie theatre has a lot of explaining to do on the exit door not being locked from outside. They need to quiz employees.

FYI, i’ve seen a lot of anti-second amendment statements, comparisons to Columbine and even in the UK statements re: US being full of crazy gun nuts within 10 minutes of an incident over here. I don’t like the smell of it. I also saw references to Ramadan and anniversary of Brevik massacre of all the camp kids (2 days off).

It also happens to be the anniversary of the July 20 Plot to kill Hitler and the anniversary of the UN decision not to recognize Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel but I really think it’s best to cool our own wild speculation. Yes, if the perp is a Moslem there will be a mainstream media blackout and CAIR will march in the streets to oppose something nasty a pop-corn vendor might have said about “freedom-fighters” and Democrats will urge a “national re-evaluation of our attitude toward Islam” and the President will bow to a few more Sheiks and our public school”teachers” will explain to our children how this is all the fault of American Imperialism and so-called “Palestinians” will dance in the streets (though the footage will never see the light of day outside of Israel). If you get a chance to see the interview (if it’s put up as a separate vid), of a black woman who stated she had tickets to go with her friends, but went to the hospital for a medical situation and heard the call when she was at the nurses station.

They’ve stated some were shot in theater 8 as well (through the wall?). I wonder what the size of them are.
SWAT at address, looking for explosives? Newsman states mid block apartment building/north Aurora, they were a down the block and were asked to go further back so they could lock the block down for staging/safety. Being asked if he’s seen this type of concern re: shooting and if he heard explosives were what they were looking for, affirmative. He also stated he doesn’t like to report details not confirmed.

9News stated Homeland/Brennan has informed the President of this shooting.
I’ve never been in a theater that had the exits locked. That would be a fire hazard. And people need to have free access to the $5.00 popcorn and $4.00 sodas.

Witness just now said a guy come from the exit in the front. He AND someone from the back threw tear gas canisters.

You absolutely have to wonder if this doesn’t have something to do with Obama’s need to get the narrative off how devastating comments the other day-—those were already finishing off his campaign. Now, he’s presented with a perfect reverse “Fast and Furious”. Most other presidents, you wouldn’t even entertain the thought.
They're not a fire hazard if they're locked on the outside. They are panic doors, openable from the inside by pushing on the bar, whether or not the lock is engaged. They are generally required by the fire code and you'd be searching a long, long time for a theater that did not have them.
How can you get movie times previous to upcoming?
It would seem this guy knew there was shooting in the beginning of the movie.

I think there were a few advance screenings of this film; perhaps the shooter went to one the night before. Which means he was armed and equipped in advance, looking for the right opportunity.
Of course I was thinking of doors being conventionally locked. I’m aware of the type of doors you mentioned (locked from outside but not inside.).
I guess someone would have to be nearby to open the doors from the inside for firefighters in case of fire. Of course they always have their trusty axes.
