Fort Hood report shows FBI ignored warning signs on Hasan, lawmaker says

The FBI was too concerned about political correctness and did not launch an investigation into a man who was later charged with killing 13 people in a 2009 attack at the Fort Hood military installation in Texas, despite significant warning signs that he was an Islamic extremist bent on killing civilians, according to a lawmaker briefed on a new report about the terrorist attack. In emails to a known terrorist, Army Maj. Nidal Hasan expressed his support for suicide bombings and killing civilians, while the terrorist, Anwar al-Awlaki, encouraged Hasan to stay in touch, Republican Rep. Michael McCaul, told The Associated Press on Wednesday after he was briefed on the findings of a new review of the attack.

-snip-

Much was already known about the series of oversights and missteps the government made leading to the terror attack at the Fort Hood Army post. Soon after the attack, it was revealed that members of two FBI anti-terrorism task forces saw emails between the Army psychiatrist and al-Awlaki beginning in December 2008. Those task forces reviewed the communications and decided they were in keeping with Hasan's research at the time, and as a result, no formal investigation of Hasan was opened. Hasan was writing a research paper about the effects of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But McCaul said Webster's report offers some new details that show the FBI was concerned about investigating an American Muslim in the military, and that is why an investigation was not pursued.

For all the twisting, there is ONE (1) reason
why this has all been ignored (and it rhymes with reason).

“Maj. Malik Nidal Hasan … served on the Homeland Security Policy Institute’s
Presidential transition task force between April 2008 and January 2009
when Barack Obama was inaugurated as the nation’s 44th president.”

Sooooo, what is the FBI doing about this serious issue and obvious, problem which threatens our security???

From: http://www.radicalislam.org/analysis/muslim-brotherhood-takes-charge-fbi-counterterrorism-training

“Cultural suicide” is what Rep. Allen West calls the direction that U.S. national security—and especially the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)—is taking America with its policy of political correctness towards the Muslim Brotherhood. Speaking on “Fox and Friends” TV program, the Florida Congressman, left, was reacting to reports that the FBI recently has edited its training curriculum in order to conform to Muslim Brotherhood definitions of non-offensive material for counterterrorism training.

“West accepts that when the Brotherhood threatens to “destroy the Western civilization from within,” it means what it says. In return, he asserts what most Americans probably would consider to be basic common sense: “We should not allow the Muslim Brotherhood or associated groups to be influencing our national security strategy.”

“In addition to the wholesale purge of FBI counterterrorism training materials, the Washington Post reported on February 16, 2012, that the FBI was “willing to consider a proposal from a coalition of Muslim and interfaith groups to establish a committee of experts to review materials used in FBI anti-terrorism training.”

“Among groups represented at an 8 February 2012 meeting that included FBI Director Robert Mueller were the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA, a Muslim Brotherhood front group that was listed by the Dept. of Justice as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008 Holy Land HAMAS terror funding trial) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). It may be recalled that MPAC president Salam al-Marayati published an op-ed piece in the Los Angeles Times on October 19, 2011, essentially threatening the FBI with a Muslim community refusal to cooperate with the FBI on terrorism matters unless Mueller purged FBI training materials of all references that link Islamic doctrine, law, and scripture to Islamic terrorism.

“According to reports, some 700 documents and more than 300 entire presentations “were subsequently pulled from the agency’s training materials.” Now it appears that the Muslim Brotherhood, flush with the success of its blatant blackmail of the United States government, is going to get veto power over what may and may not be taught in future FBI classes about the doctrinal, historical, and legal linkages between Islam and Islamic jihad. In view of the October 2010 declaration of war (jihad) against the U.S. by Muslim Brotherhood Secretary General Muhammad Badi, it might be thought that the group probably ought not to be allowed anywhere near U.S. counterterrorism policy, but the FBI apparently thinks otherwise.

“A key element of Islamic law (sharia) is the definition of the crime of slander. Unlike in U.S. law on slander, for which truth is an absolute defense, in sharia slander “means to mention anything concerning a [Muslim] person that he would dislike.” As may be seen at the website of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, (OIC – the 57-member head of state organization comprising the Islamic ummah – or perhaps, caliphate), one of the group’s top priorities is the global criminalization of the criticism of Islam. The Muslim Brotherhood, the political action arm of the OIC, working closely here with the FBI, has just taken a major step forward in achieving that objective.

“Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, too, seems willing to accomodate OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on something called “The Istanbul Process,” which is a thinly disguised campaign to insinuate Islamic law on slander into the U.S. legal system. A number of meetings on the subject already have been held in various cities around the world; at the most recent of these in December 2011, Clinton welcomed Ihsanoglu to Washington, D.C. for closed door meetings whose purpose, agenda and results were not shared candidly with the American public.

“Some of it can be understood only too well, though, from the OIC’s charter, which commits it “to combat defamation of Islam,” while its action plan calls for “deterrent punishments” by all states to combat so-called “Islamophobia.” UN Human Rights Council Resolution 16/18, adopted in March 2011, is an OIC-sponsored and U.S.-supported statement that takes direct aim at Americans’ constitutional right to free speech, especially about Islam, despite claims to the contrary.

“With the Department of State and the FBI both now apparently having capitulated to the OIC and Muslim Brotherhood agenda to outlaw criticism of Islam—handy thing for groups representing some of the most repressive governments and social systems on earth—it is more critical than ever that an informed citizenry remain engaged in the political process.

As an officer (MP Corps), I was approached by several soldiers while I was at Walter Reed after being MEDEVAC’d in DEC 2003 from Iraq...they told me about going to go see a counselor about Post Traumatic - and when they related situations of conflict - that this guy started to yell at them - -and that he was a Moslem and he accused them of needlessly murdering fellow Moslems...they Dr. I talked to - another officer of the Medical Corps - I shared this and stated that this guy needs to be removed from seeing these soldiers - there was no need for that...it wasn’t until Ft Hood and the back trace that I made the connection...of course, at this point, the names of those soldiers I don’t have and therefore my testimony in this matter is somewhat mute!

The "institutional-blinders" are still firmly in place all over our government. Nobody wants to acknowledge that we are at war with Islam and that Islamist are a genuine threat.

Just look at the reaction among Republicans to Michelle Bachman's questioning the security vetting of one Huma Abedin? You need no further proof that the United States of America is a pinata waiting to get whacked again.

I can't fathom how the Muslims have managed to get immunity from investigation in our military, of all places. I dread accepting the fact that our security agencies and defense forces have been infiltrated at such levels and the rest of responsible officials just stand by with stupid looks on their faces.

Are there not enough AMERICANS left to stand up, take action and protect their country??? Isn't it about time to instead of turning the other cheek, strike back twice as hard and twice as often!!!

Isn't it time for "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth"?

These cretins are at war with us!

If you knew of some, then it's guaranteed there's many many more out there who had the same experience. I had a muzzy boss who was the most evil hateful human I'd ever come across. Made my skin crawl. The first time I met him, he announced he didn't like me. That was many years ago and I was young and naive so didn't understand. After 9/11, I understand.

The FBI didn't ignore the signs but purposefully chose to let them grow and fester.

We knew this country was in deep trouble when G.W. Bush (who I still quite fond of in many ways) announced that Islam was a religion of peace.

When our leaders don't lead (by at least naming the enemy), we are basically unable to fight them in a unified and concerted way.

Yeap!

I was on active duty at Fort Leonard Wood, MO in 2001. I remember having breakfast with some Israeli officers - and the Saudi officers would always come down to the breakfast area and gather up tons of food to take back to their rooms - and just pile it up above on their refrig.’s for what ever purpose...They were rude - take forever to go through the line at the officers mess...just right down idiots. I remember seeing them on 11 SEPT that morning after PT - and then it happened a few hrs later...the next morning and the rest of the time they were there - they never showed their faces...they went to their training - but i never saw much after that...we asked the Israelis about it — and they just laughed - shook their heads — and continued to eat..they understood more then than I do now! ...and I wrote a book about my experiences in Iraq!!!

It is horrifying that soldiers were betrayed and abused like this but Obama has only just begun to fundamentally transform the Nation into his image. From a radical’s point of view, human life is expendable for the ‘greater good’ of a hellish National and Global Utopia.

In Obama’s mind America is evil and needs to be razed and then rebuilt in his image. He does care how many lives are ruined and killed as he goes about his business. US soldiers are a necessary evil to him until they can be broken and shaped into mindless street thugs going after the proper enemy - (white, Christian) Americans. That is why imposing sexual immorality on the troops and showing preferences for the radical Islamic enemy is so important to him. It is no accident that he has named the people of constitutional Republic he hates, the domestic terrorist that the government must see as an enemy and crush.

No real need for an attack when you have a snake flicking her tongue in the ear of the Secretary of State.

Just takes patience, they are getting everything they want.

I see that you are clearly one of the more intelligent ones on this forum. How? You use a word rarely written or spoken to describe these animals from the 14th century....the word MOSLIM! That is the correct identification for these barbaric animals...not Muslim!

Everyone needs to start calling these animals who they really are and quit using the word “Muslim.”

Muslim means “one who gives himself to God”
Moslim means “one who is evil and unjust”

Thanks.

I would like to offer this one word - I use it in public with others of my mindset...I call them Zombies - and refer to the Walking Dead series as the spread of Islam across the land...

Now joking aside, one must maintain a sense of humor in all this. But it makes for great raining and situational awareness...

thanks...my website is in the tagline...bookmark it - pass it along - I have only put academic publications there and a few opinions — but it serves as a one-stop-shop of information and intelligence on this threat.

The website is run through Host gator - a bunch of Texas minded “we don’t care” people who have made sure my site stays up and running...I told them what I wanted to do - and they said go for it - and leave the rest to us.

have great weekend
