The young man who is in custody after allegedly gunning down 12 people in a mass shooting spree overnight in Aurora, Colorado has been identified as local resident James Holmes, according to federal authorities.

It's a big part, my FRiend. Video games reward players for violent action. Rap music glorifies violent action. Depraved behavior is presented as normal, even admirable.
Most folks exposed to these things will not be adversely affected. But a small minority will. Think of the Germans in the 1930's who were exposed to relentless Nazi propaganda. Otherwise decent people got all twisted up the wrong way.
Now, I'm not arguing for blanket censorship, or anything like that. Perhaps in a free society we must accept certain things. But it's foolish to ignore what's part of the problem.
Yes, in this movie, the people of means and the authorities are definitely portrayed as the victims of a violent anarchist mob.

Agree. What needs to be said loud and clear, immediately, is that this is NOT us. We can't let the left define us or create false associations.
To speculate that this was Islamic or Socialist or OWS-ist is not out of order based on the ACTIONS of those groups.
To speculate that this is associated with the Tea Party (as ABC did) is based upon leftist bigotry since there is no history of such actions.

...... Loser issue or not .... they will try to use this and anything else to divert attention away from the administrations dismal reputation on real issues. My guess is that this is the presidents campaign strategy ..... to divert attention away from important issues and subsequently "run out the clock" in these precious final months before the election. This will prevent any important dialogue from actually occurring on the real issues. The less his food stamp and welfare followers and undecided voters know about what is in BHO's brain the more likely the chance that they will deliver the votes necessary for BHO to maintain his job.
The MSM will gladly do whatever it can to help their dear leader out and procure another four years for the prez.

The mother is still at home in San Diego the father has flown to Aurora.
Just listened to a phone interview with a father of a victim. His son had taken a trip with his girl friend to Denver, they are from San Antonio, Tx. The girl friend was shot in the head and died at the scene. The son tried to help her but there was nothing he could do to help. The son was shot in the backside with fragments of the bullet traveling through his body. He has been operated on and is in recovery. The son’s mother is already at the hospital.
The father will be there soon.
I think this father was in shock at the death of his son’s girlfriend and his son being shot and still bleeding after the operation and really did not realize he was giving a small chuckle every now and then. My heart went out to him and the situation he was in.

Who knows exactly what set this particular person off? Perhaps it had nothing to do with the society we live in. Time will tell.
My previous remarks were of a general nature, about a society as a whole. And I do have evidence of that. As I said before, consider Germany of the 1930's.
And consider another example: today's America. Many folks are getting the message that it's OK to let the government take care of you. Go ahead, apply for food stamps, apply for all sorts of assistance. At one time that was considered shameful, even when necessary.
So if you actually think that repetitive messages have no real effect on people, then I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
Now we get news that Obama is meeting with the head of the FBI and other muckety mucks about this shooting in Aurora. Why? There is nothing they can do now except to plan their next gun control project.
