“What I said was together we build roads and we build bridges.”
For a chronic and natural liar, you’d think he would come up with something more creative.

If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Someone else made it happen. As far as I know, the word "business" has never been a synonym of "road" or "bridge".

“The private sector is doing fine” and “You didn’t build that” were Obama speaking what he really thought, not reading what was on the TOTUS.
The underlying theme of both statements is that government is responsible for the success of this nation.

YES, please.
Mr. President, keep telling me my anger is ‘bogus’, and you didn’t say what you said.
IOW, keep digging.

Though Republicans say the president was implying that business owners didn't build their businesses, Obama said he was just talking about roads and bridges.
Let's look at what Mr. Soetoro said:
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen," he said.
Now obviously, if Barry the Boob had in fact been talking about roads and bridges, he would not have said "You didn't build that."
Barry, being the highly evolved Harvard man he claims to be, would have instead said, in reference to roads and bridges (plural, in both cases), "You didn't build those."
His effort to "clarify" his utterance is transparently deceptive. It is completely clear from his usage that he was referring to "business" (singular) when he used the word "that."
All that aside, his ill-reasoned remarks completely overlook the fact that the business owner (whom Barry thinks did not build his or her business) never actually contributed to the tax base that built the road in front of the business, a patently absurd notion if ever there was one. It's almost as if Barry the Boob thinks that these businessmen flashed into economically successful existence in the twinkling of an eye, without ever having been a contributing part of the larger economy before they built their successful enterprise.
Truly...we have a sniveling moron in the Oval Office.

Taxpayers (me) paid for those roads and bridges so that the vast unemployed - thanks to Barry’s Marxist central planning - can rush to the unemployment office so taxpayers (me) can pay the unemployed to be non-productive for 99 weeks at a time. We seem to be paying at each step. Taxed Enough Already.

Greg Gutfeld on “The Five” turned Obama’s pathetic “logic” around. For argument’s sake, say that government roads, bridges, etc., allowed business people to be successful. Then it’s true that the government’s infrastructure allowed people like Ted Bundy, Green River Strangler, bank robbers, i.e., all criminals, to be “successful” in their chosen efforts.
Basically, individuals, whether good or evil, are responsible for what they accomplish in life. Hussein knows that, but he also knows what his simple-minded minions like to hear.

Wasn't most of the roads in Virgina paid for by local planters and investors, wanting to get their farm products to the Port of Alexandria? Seems I read that somewhere.
If so, they are the worst kind of people by not waiting on the government for their success, horrible, selfish people, just horrible. /s
