Breitbart goes out and finds out the nutter may actually be registered as a Democrat.

But at least Breitbart’s article says that they have not been able to confirm the identity yet, but they have more facts to back up their speculation than ABC had to back up theirs. ABC, OTOH, trotted their story out as FACT and then had to retract.

Breitbart is not publicizing the shooter's political affiliation in order to blame Democrats but to show that ABC's attempt to blame the Tea Party is factually wrong. That is a simple distinction between Breitbart and ABC that you should be able understand.
