Within hours of a madman opening fire in a crowded movie theater on Aurora, Colo., gun-control advocates began to use the theater shooting spree, which left 12 dead and 71 wounded, to push their agenda...

If there’d have been 2-3 folks packing legal concealed weapons last night, Occupy Wall Street nut James Holmes (D-Aurora) would be on a coroner’s slab.
We need to mobilize back.
Taking the step of joining the NRA this morning, was my first concrete step. (Don’t ask why I hadn’t until now, just one of those “I’ll get around to it” things).
Is this the Reichstag Fire Obi has been looking for? I had my eyes on Syria...
Don't blink!
And while you're at it, if you haven't already, read "Enemies Foreign and Domestic".
Reeeeeealy?
We already had enough nuttiness from the left today.
If just ONE patron on the scene had been armed, the death toll could have been much, much lower!
WHEN SECONDS COUNT, THE POLICE ARE JUST MINUTES AWAY.
Did the shooting happen around the campus of the University of Colorado? If yes, aren’t most universities gun free zones? That’s where most of the massacres have occurred. Criminals are no fools. They don’t want to try a killing spree in a place when someone might be armed and give them what they deserve.
You may call it what you wish. Apparently you’ve not read/heard former Penn. Gov. Rendell’s speech today. Much more in the offing. Not suggesting a conspiracy. Merely saying this incident today may be the trigger...no pun intended.
Great pic ping.
Arianna Huffington of the liberal Huffington Post tweeted, People might say its too early to have the gun discussion Mayor Bloomberg wants. Actually its too late.
Well, for once she’s right. It’s long past time that we had nation-wide reciprocity for CCW permits, as a first step to nation-wide “constitutional carry”.
We need new gun laws like Chi-town and New York Chity so we can stop all the kill’n of our chill’or
While we are writing these new laws let’s make one where only professionally trained and certified licensed pilots can fly large commercial planes.
That would reduce chances of a repeat of the 9/11 disaster. /100% sarcasm
Luby's should have wised 'em up.
That's a negative.
LOVE IT! But I’m reminded of what my corporate/personal attorney told me, in case I’d ever be involved in a self-defense shooting:
Officer,
1) “I was in fear for my life.”
2) “That’s all I have to say.”
3) “I wish to speak only with my attorney.”
Although I have huge respect for the LEOs I know personally, after the GZ-lynching, I’m stictly-inclined to do #1-3.
They should. They’re partly responsible.
Gun owners of america is a better organization if memory serves me right.
The NRA will support a flaming lib if they come out in support of gun rights.
They are probably doing exactly what Holmes wanted them to do.
Also, the NRA will not help in any a) state-level case even where b) the laws in question directly contradict the State Constitution.
That is, they don't even go for shoe-in, guaranteed victories.
My theory is that they've set themselves up as the "premiere gun lobby" and fear to be effective, as such would decrease the need to lobby and therefore the organization's own power/influence.
