The opening that we went to, everyone had purchased tickets on-line or ahead, somehow, and the announced theater time was for the first theater, and the lines started filling up several hours ahead, the tickets were not for any specific theater, they just started filling them on a first come basis. This was one of those mega theaters, I don’t even know how many screenings they were doing, but it was a lot more than four or five. The theater was actually in Canada. We don’t have any of those mega theaters around here.
I guess it’s up to the theater. I pay a couple bucks extra for the online ticket but it’s very convenient (and the ticket actually says which theater- the one we go to has 18) and we always go Sunday afternoon because it’s cheaper at that location ($6). You’ll go broke on popcorn and drinks though....
When we left the theater, I noticed there was a cop in the hall outside the door.
