Perhaps they sense or even know that the backlash on the media is occuring. They can’t save Obama from himself or his policies so now it’s time to re-generate their ‘brand’ and be fair journ-o-list’s so that when a Republican, (Mitt or hopefully someone else), takes office they can portray themselves as honest disseminators of the news and then start the trashing of America cycle once again.

The fact that they had to write it in the first place makes it look like they think their readers are stupid and uninformed about tea party scapegoatism.
