Amen.

Absorbed punishment like a sponge and said nothing.

I never saw that as a virtue.

GWB would be a distraction. The objecitve of this election should be be the removal of the communist POS from the White House. I agree he drove me to fits of cursing the last four years. He was at least an American for America. Not a Kenyan for Marxism

A wise decision by Bush. His job approval numbers were abysmal during 2008

Bet ya he was told to stay away for the good of all. By 2008, the country was already over the cliff.

When discussing a President’s legacy bringing up the fact that he’s a nice guy is a non non sequitur.

I mean could you set the bar any lower?

Jimmie Carter, by all accounts, was a 'nice guy'.

Nice guy means squat. The left is playing hardball in its goal of destroying this country. The right needs to play hard ball also if it intend to stop it.

I think Romney quietly asked Bush to stay away. W gave a rare interview last week about how he loved his private life and now this announcement. This is all orchestrated by Romney.

Romney is going to pick Rob Portman as VP and since he was Bush’s budget director they are trying to de-emphasize Bush as much as possible because the media will already have a Bush-connection storyline and they don’t want to add fuel to the fire.

Why give the media fresh material for their ‘Two Minutes of Hate’?
GW will errantly be the 21st Century Herbert Hoover when the MSM writes the history of this Great Depression II.

Romney is the albatros around romneys neck

Ya got that right!

We are losing our country to godless socialism and what does the GOP do? Run an abortionist/homosexualist statist whose socialist RomneyCare program was the blueprint and impetus for ObamaCare! Screw that!! I’ll vote for the GOP’s candidate for the presidency when they run a CONSERVATIVE!! Otherwise, to hell with them!! The GOP is fast cementing their place as part of the problem! Wake up America!!”

No I will not vote for an abortionist for president. Period.

Free Republic, America’s exclusive site for God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty conservatives!

Romney does not qualify on any count!

He was not a dumb man as many of the left thought. It was by design so as to weaken the republican prospects for 08.Remember how pissed he was that his commie amnesty plan got its teeth kicked in.Well he and the republicans orchestrated losing the house and then the senate and then the 08 election by not standing up to the outright lies of the left.I lay this shitstorm we are in at the feet of bush, mcconnel and boener and the gope.

There is no “probably” about it. It’s the best thing Bush has done for the party, ever.

What the heck is a "non non sequitur?"

Since double negatives [even in Latin] cancel each other out, it sounds to me like a sequitur which would mean you agree with me.
