A speeding SUV flying down a Queens street at more than 85 mph smashed into a concrete stanchion yesterday — killing two children and three women and injuring three other passengers, law-enforcement sources said.
The scene was so horrific, “one of the firemen cried as he looked at the children’s bodies,” said witness Ray Cortez, 52.
None of the victims was identified, but all eight are related and have roots in the Nigerian town of Arondizuogu.

Nigeria is about half Moslem and half Christian or “traditional” or a mix.
The driver at fault always survives these things.

It says that the 8 who were killed or injured were all related--but doesn't say if the driver was also related to them.
Of course the kids were too young to drive, and are the real victims here.
I know what Leena Dhaliwal said, but things like this do not happen by "accident". There is always alcohol or drugs involved, or they are involved in a police chase.

honestly, it’s real hard to keep down the road rage, watching the way some of these folks from other countries drive... weaving in and out of traffic, as if it’s the Indy 500. 30 to 40 per cent of them drive non-legal cars. Other’s have sons with buzz cuts tatoos all up and down their arms, driving these cars with those mufflers that INCREASE the cars noise, not decrease it...Man oh man, the quality of life here in Los Angeles is bad, real bad.
My children live here in Los Angeles, but when I hit age 70, I just can’t see spending more time in this cess-pool. We’ll probably have to seek out a small town somewhere in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan or Ohio.

Can't say, but it IS ramadan, season of fasting during the day and gorging after sundown. A local "all-you-can-eat-Chinese-buffet" was packed with chubby hijab'd ones & their families on Saturday night. Very unusual for this area.
