New Scott Brown ad attacks Elizabeth Warren over “you didn’t build it” argument

So, which Senate candidate in Massachusetts is running on the Kennedy legacy? Don’t be too quick to answer — because the man who scolded a debate moderator in the 2010 special election for referring to the Senate seat as “Ted Kennedy’s seat” does some Kennedy-invoking of his own to shame his opponent. Scott Brown’s new web ad uses the words of John Kennedy in praise of American enterprise, Bill Clinton in praise of small business, and LBJ in praise of the American entrepreneurial spirit. The ad then asks, How did we go from JFK, LBJ, and Clinton to Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama?

Fear not, Reaganauts, Ronald Reagan gets some quality time in the ad, too. It’s the use of traditional Democrats that’s most effective, though, and one suspects the claiming of the Kennedy mantle that will most sting Warren and the Democrats in Massachusetts. The ad reminds voters that this isn’t their fathers’ Democratic Party any longer — a point Joe Lieberman made last week — and that Warren and Obama represent extremes on the Left that remain very much disconnected with mainstream American attitudes about enterprise and the role of government. Brown had better hope that’s true in Massachusetts, but this is at least a very effective web spot. If he can trim this down to a 60-second spot and put it on television, especially with Warren’s angry delivery, it’s a winner.

If the Brown campaign sees this message resonating in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, you know damn well it is very effective in the rest of the country.

Well, she laid the “intellectual foundation” that was OWS.

This is a totally fair shot since Warren has been spouting this kind of garbage from the beginning of her campaign. Obama just said it last week.

Princess Spitting Bull was the first Dem to pull out and parade this statement on success, that has been the socialist mantra for 50 years.

The fact that they are saying these things in public means that they think they have achieved critical mass.

I’ve read Fauxcahontas’s quotes but have never seen the clip in the video. Yikes! What an angry shrew. If she pulls that during a televised debate with Brown, he will coast to a win in Nov....

Let’s not get too optimistic. This is Massachusetts we’re talking about. Home of the “swimmer” Ted Kennedy and Bawney Fwank.

But isn’t that going to make the Massachusetts voters like her more?

you’re right, however, Brown had no chance to get the Mass libs anyway. He’s fighting for the democrat center / moderates (there are some!), and I think this is a great strategy.

I don't care if Brown invokes the spirit of Saul Alinsky as long as he beats this phony, POS.

Won't be sending Scott any $$ this time around but believe that this RINO would still be better than adding one more far left, Demo-Rat to the Senate.

ANYTHING to REPEAL Obamacare. Scott Brown’s platform was the repeal of Obamacare and to his credit, he voted against it.

If the Dems ever lose control of the Senate, having Brown there will be better than Warren. Warren will surely vote to RETAIN Obamacare.

I think it’s a brilliant move on Scott Brown’s part! JFK was much more conservative, economically, than those who claim his legacy today.
