Don’t want to see amnesty, ever, but an Ellis Island approach may work for the people trying to better their families.

Ellis Island? Those people came in legally.

Ellis Island era occurred when the country was developing and needed people. There was lots of opportunity and jobs. Today millions of Americans are out of work or underemployed.

Bad people show up and destroy while good people can die in the desert.

You're referring to people entering this country illegally, breaking our laws, rule and creating chaos and economic havoc, as good people?

Okay, my point is making an “Ellis Island” situation available.

They came here legally because there was an “Ellis Island”to bring them in here as such. You’ve made my point.

Not everyone one who came through Ellis Island was a solid citizen, but at least we had an idea of who they were.Due to current policy and enforcement of federal laws (or lack thereof), you yourself would agree that this is not happening.
