This Hawaiian BC lists Hawaiian/Chinese/Korean/English/German/Portuguese as the race of the mother.

What is that code there? Is that a "5" or a "6"?

What matters is what the code designates.

And I still don't see "African" listed, even as late as 1995.

When did "African" come into use?
