The UN/NATO's policy is to do nothing without Russian and Chinese permission. So that's what they're doing. Nothing.

In fact Russia is to blame for whatever Assad does because they supported him. Russia propped up his brutal genocidal regime and assisted him in massacring his own people. This was not a wise policy, but a stupid one and they have ensured that Assad will now be overthrown. When Assad falls it will be Russia's fault. Whatever happens to his WMD will be the fault and responsibility of the stupid and evil psychopathic foreign policy of the impotent incompetent corrupt Kremlin.

Agree that Assad is Russia's problem. Just as Saddam was our problem. The Russians are trying to control him. Sure would have been nice for DC to condemn their Rebels terrorist bombing attack.

Russia warns Syria against using chemical weapons

The Russian Foreign Ministry said Syria in 1968 had ratified a 1925 international protocol that bars the use of poison gases as a method of warfare.

"The Russian side proceeds from the assumption that Syrian authorities will continue to strictly adhere to the undertaken international obligations," it said in a statement.
