I believe the guy knew what he was saying. I had never heard of the term, and would never use it, unless I knew what it meant. Also, the guy said:

I dont know, this guy sounds like something of a d*ck.

The bog problem is that now that it is known that he used a term that could be seen as racist, he will not every be able to testify in a court case against a person who is not white.
