Correct me if I am wrong but didn't your hero Rick Perry also endorse Dewhurst?Like CW, I backed Perry until his brain (or his back?) blew up through his mouth, and I'm disappointed in Perry for endorsing Dewhurst. But I understand why: Basically, the two have worked closely together for decades, mostly well, and there is a loyalty, a sense of "the endorsement was Dewhurst's to lose."
How I wish Perry could have simply stayed out of it, at least.
Loyalty? How about a loyalty to the conservative cause? Perry could have endorsed the TEA Party endorsed Cruz but showed his real colors by going with Dewhurst.
Perry's loyalty is with his crony friends and not conservatism. That, in my mind and the minds of many conservatives, speaks volumes.
