It is a big stretch to try to connect this raffle to the massacre. If you surveyed 100 people and asked them to name things associated with the massacre, how many would say AR-15? I bet the number one answer would be popcorn. So let’s stop selling that. It probably kills more people than AR-15s anyway.
By definition an “assault rifle” is not semi-automatic only. It must have a selector switch making the rifle capable of firing full auto. An M16 or M4 are assault rifles; an AR15 is not an assault rifle.

If you’re going to hold a gun raffle, don’t limit it to just one gun. People are downright persnickety about the guns they like and are interested in, and even a small selection will get a much better turn out.
It would probably work best if you had a rifle, a shotgun, a large and small handgun, a collectible or more decorative type gun, as a minimal example.
And if the raffle is subdivided into a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with different prizes, it’s a great idea to include a “or cash equivalent”, for those who win a gun they just don’t particularly like.
