Jim Scott.....Jim Robinson wrote this some days ago to a disgruntled ABO like yourself. You need to read it:
“Im very sorry to lose you, but I cannot bring myself to support Romney who for more than thirty years of his adult life (by his own admission) advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America. He explained that he had believed that since 1970 when his mother ran for the Senate on that platform. Also, he claimed that since Roe v Wade had been in existence for twenty years, it was settled law and should be sustained and supported as such and swore to do so. That plus the fact that he boasted that he would be better for gay rights than Ted Kennedy. And proved it. And the fact that he advocated for and signed into law a socialized healthcare program that eventually morphed into ObamaCare and is now threatening to end constitutionally limited government in America with the traitors on the Supreme Court upholding it. Romneys entire career was that of a leftist liberal progressive. I cannot support the man. I cannot support the GOPs sudden lurch to the left.”
Jim Scott - If you don’t like the direction of FR then maybe you should stop posting. Your “pragmatic support” of Romney just doesn’t wash anymore.
Neither does you speaking for the entire forum.

Is that you Rahm Emmanuel? If they don’t agree with you, they shouldn’t have freedom of speech? Is that you Thomas Menino?
No, I don't like the 'direction of FR' when posters like you swarm all over any FReeper that dares to post a good word about Romney, as if he were the enemy instead of the Marxist Obama. I find that to be absurd in such a crucial election.
As for Jim Robinson, I respect and admire him but on Romney, we happen to disagree. If Mr. Robinson chooses to re-make FR into an anti-Romney forum then that is his privilege as the site owner and administrator. At that point, I'll likely abandon FR - but not before. I enjoy having a quality conservative site to read and post on.
In the meantime, I'll post as I chose and ignore the Romney-haters. This election is too important to throw away because the GOP candidate isn't Sarah Palin, a woman I greatly admire and would vote for in a heartbeat should she be able to oust Romney at the convention next month (doubtful).
However, it's very clear that no amount of rational argument will stay FReepers like you from not only bashing Mitt Romney at every opportunity but denigrating longtime FReepers who happen to think that 'Anybody But Obama' is preferable to another four years of a dangerous Marxist in the Oval Office. No, lots more fun to call Romney names and post snarky replies to anyone who dares to disagree with you and support Romney, albeit relucently. Not good enough! We must all hate and despise Mitt Romney!
Sorry, but I won't play that game with you...and I'll definitely continue posting on FR. One hopes that after the election, when Romney defeats Obama, the current levels of animosity will abate but that remains to be seen. Even so, FR is too good to abandon to those who would rather see Obama stay in office than for Mitt Romney to defeat him.
