It was nice to see the athletes marching in. They all looked so healthy, happy, and well-scrubbed. It is, after all, all about them and seeing them was a nice relief compared to the "entertainment" with wildly dressed dancing kids and political symbols.

I want to make it abundantly clear that I don't begrudge those who enjoy the Olympics. It's just not in my wheelhouse and I've never acquired an interest in those games. It might be a Texas or Southern thing. The local all-sports radio station had only a brief mentions of the Olympics. It was Cowboys...Cowboys...Cowboys along with the Rangers and Mavericks.
