The totally artificial, irrational linkage of health insurance with employment has to be severed. There should be no such thing as “benefits.” They are a creature of an irrational, corrupt tax code.
Honestly, that is the plan. Companies will drop health care coverage, forcing people to buy their own policy or pay the “Tax”. Many will not be able to, and will DEMAND the State do something.
Bingo socialized medicine, without the Olympic fanfare.
