Of course, in the Obama Depression, wages are not rising, or even keeping pace.

Nevertheless, all other factors being equal, the repeal of the Sixteenth Amendment and abolition of the income tax, resulting in the withering away of “benefits,” will result in higher wages. For the simple reason that “benefits” are paid for out of the earnings of those who receive them.

We were not talking about repealing the income tax (which won't ever happen), but what will likely happen when companies stop paying health insurance and dump it on the government.

Wages will fall, because there will be an increase in taxes.

The Fedgov will not allow the 16th amendment to be repealed. It will not starve itself. In fact, I expect more attacks on wealth (401 K's being seized) soon.
