Very foolish indeed but it is a church and freedom of religion is to be respected. As long as they were good Christian folks they should be able to marry in their church. Or leave. It’s not newsworthy unless you’re MSNBC then let it roll 24/7 to their 59 audience members.
“freedom of religion” — what religion? It’s a Christian church and there is nothing in the Christian’s Bible that says certain races are barred from Christian marriage...so, it’s not the practice of the Christian “religion” that they are exhibiting.
