Chicago likes to compare itself to other world cities, so Ward Room thought it would find out how we rank in violence. It turns out no one can top us. Among what are considered Alpha world cities, Chicago has the highest murder rate --higher even than the Third World metropolises of Mexico City and Sao Paolo. Here’s how we rank in murders per 100,000 among cities we consider our peers, based on a projected murder total of 505 for this year.

NYC had just over 2,600 murders in 1990. That averages to more than seven murders per day for 365 days straight.
Is it really fair to call Sao Paulo a Third World city and not call Chicago one? I’m just sayin’. How would you call Detroit...Stockton...more than Third World?

How does Chicago crime rate compared to Rio De Janeiro? 2016 site in Brazil I think.
Sao Paulo’s numbers used to be lower, then Max Payne moved to town.
Wasn’t able to find more recent data, but in 1999 Johannesburg was at 136 per 100,000. !!!
I think Rio is at about 85/100k.
But my math might be off. Had about 5000 murders last year.
saw an article a few days ago (can’t find link now). It included the mug shots and names of many arrested in Chicago violence. Looks like the result of Obama’s open border and amnesty policies.

Chicago has become a third world city.
Illinois - the only state of all 57 of them, that does not have a C.C. law. Chicago, the largest city in the state by far, has the most repressive laws about guns than any other Illinois municipality and an enormous murder rate and think about it, for every person murdered in Chicago there are probably a half dozen more who are maimed for life from gun shot wounds.
Chicago could probably save a lot of innocent lives by offering free ammo and range time for its gangs. They’re going to shoot people anyway so they should strive for accuracy when shooting at other gang members.
Let’s be honest folks, these Democrats are not irreplacable to the Rahmfather for they are tax eaters who can easily be replaced and right now there is no lack of “D” voters in Illinois but a lack of tax slaves. The last set of D gangsters tried to ship these Democrats of Color to the burbs but obviously things have not gone as planned.
Stats indicate it ain’t white Amish doing the crimes
