“Homophobe” is one of the worst perversions of the language to push an ideology I’ve ever seen. A phobia requires fear. Almost all people labeled “homophobe” have no fear of homosexuals whatsoever. What they have is a natural aversion to them, a religious objection to them, or even just a disagreement with the activism. You will still be labeled a homophobe if you personally don’t have a problem with them, but don’t actively support them and think they are a necessary part of society.
Yet, of course, the press promotes the use of this word whenever anybody has any disagreement with the actions of homosexuals.
“Homophobe” is Frankenslang, nothing more.
Homos means same, phobos means fear. If the Greek roots were correctly applied, then a “homophobe” would be someone who fears those who have exactly the same traits as oneself.
Me, I’m not afraid of other straight heterosexual God fearing conservative gun owners who like Chick Fil-A.
But I want nothing whatsoever to do with homosexuals, their behavior, or their agenda.

Well, I’m afraid of them and what their “in the open” presence means to our country. I also fear any sexual immorality (hetereo or homo). I fear it is turning our nation into a sewer.
So, I’m quite content to be called a “homophobe” by them, because as I keep saying.
