Urgent Action Needed -EMERGENCY VOTE IN CONGRESS! – This Bill Will STOP “Pain-Capable” Abortions!

“Surprise” Vote Being Taken in Congress in less than 24 hours! — Tuesday, July 31st.

I’m sending this e-mail to you on Monday. (7/30) The Emergency Vote in Congress is TOMORROW!!

You’ve heard me use this quote many times before… “A society will be judged on the basis of how it treats its weakest members – the last, the least, the littlest.”

Abortion, of course, is the worst form of human mistreatment imaginable. It is the intentional destruction of an innocent human life at its most vulnerable stage: In the sanctity of a mother’s womb.

Here at Priests for Life, we work every day to make all abortion ILLEGAL once again – because intentionally killing a helpless innocent little baby can never be justified.

But when one actually considers the methods of abortion, it’s just too horrible to even contemplate. Yet is it 100% LEGAL — and growing in frequency every day.

I’m talking about the intentional killing by DISMEMBERMENT of LATE-TERM BABIES (third trimester) who are CAPABLE OF FEELING EVERY BIT OF THE PAIN of being torn limb from limb – just like you and I would!

You probably already know that late-term abortion IS legal in America—although states can add some restrictions.

Now in some states, new laws have been passed stopping abortion after 20 weeks because of the child’s ability to feel pain. And that’s great news.

Well, there’s an EMERGENCY VOTE being taken TOMORROW MORNING on a new bill that will PROHIBIT abortions after 20 weeks in our nation’s capital.

It’s H.R. 3803, the District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, often referred to as the “D.C. late abortion ban” for short. And I need you to contact your Representative and STRONGLY URGE him or her to Vote FOR H.R. 3803. Most people still don’t know that abortion is currently legal for ANY reason through ALL NINE MONTHS of pregnancy. An abortion facility not far from the White House now advertises dismemberment (“D&E”) abortions on request, to 26 weeks of pregnancy — the beginning of the 7th month! There is nothing to stop abortionists from performing abortions even closer to birth — for a price.

What a disgrace to our nation!!! (And this is why Priests for Life and Stand True are putting a lot of energy into raising awareness about dismemberment abortion! Educating people on this is one of our key projects.)

That’s why I’m happy to report that Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ) has authored a bill that is now coming up for a vote on a “fast track” procedure that’s happening TOMORROW – JULY 31ST!

In the bill, Congress adopts findings that by 20 weeks after fertilization (if not earlier), the unborn child has the capacity to experience GREAT PAIN. The bill then prohibits abortion in the federal District after that point (the beginning of the sixth month).

This is the bill for which our Priests for Life team recently walked the halls of Congress, with some of our priests and Dr Alveda King. We were able to increase the number of co-sponsors of this legislation. And I want to thank our colleagues at National Right to Life for crafting this bill and lobbying for it so effectively!

And now, because of tomorrow’s vote, every member of the U.S. House of Representatives will have to go on record on whether abortion should be legal for any reason to the moment of birth.

Therefore… If we can achieve a big majority on this groundbreaking initial vote, it will set the foundation to win legal protection for pain-capable unborn children in the not-distant future. The pro-abortion fanatics are UP IN ARMS about this bill – because they know it could erode the entire “framework” of Roe v. Wade.

Listen: Babies are being BRUTALLY DISMEMBERED far past the point that they are capable of experiencing excruciating pain!!!

Congress and President Obama need to STOP this brutality by enacting the District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, H.R. 3803, which would ban abortion after 20 weeks fetal age. YOU MUST ACT NOW! I apologize for the late notice on this… but this bill is coming up for a vote IMMEDIATELY!

That’s why I urgently need you to drop EVERYTHING you’re doing right now and CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSMAN as quickly as you can—telling him or her to VOTE “YES” ON H.R. 3803 – the “D.C. Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” (or “DC Late Abortion Ban” for short).

Think about it: if H.R. 3803 passes… WE COULD PUT THE LEGAL “NAIL IN THE COFFIN” OUT OF ROE v WADE! So please… contact your local Congressman IMMEDIATELY.

And since the vote is TOMORROW, there’s ONLY TIME FOR E-MAILS or TELEPHONE CALLS.

If you don’t know who your current Congressman is or how to call him/her, there are several convenient ways to easily find out.

#1.) You can go right now to www.house.gov and enter your ZIP code and street address, and the web site will tell you who your Member of Congress is and what his/her office phone numbers are.

#2.) Look up your Congressman in your local phone book in the “Government” pages. Even calling the local office is better than nothing! The local office will call the Washington office and let them know they’re getting flooded with calls urging a YES vote on H.R. 3803…!

#3.) Or, call your local City Hall, the library, or your main newspaper and they can give you the Congressman’s contact information.

But no matter what it takes, DROP WHAT YOU’RE DOING and get your voice heard RIGHT NOW!

That’s because the vote on H.R. 3803 comes up on the floor of Congress TOMORROW MORNING… And We Can’t Afford To Be Even A MINUTE LATE On This! Yes, it’s THAT urgent. (I wouldn’t pester you like this if it weren’t.)

Incidentally, they took us completely by surprise by sending this bill to the floor for a vote with virtually NO notice… because certain powers DON’T want this bill passed! If you merely contemplate WHAT KIND OF PAIN AN UNBORN BABY MUST FEEL…

… you’ll want to contact EVERY Member of Congress and MAKE SURE they ALL vote “YES” on H.R. 3803…! Let them know that we’ll be closely watching their vote—ESPECIALLY since they’re all coming up for RE-ELECTION this November.

And what kind of a Congressman wants to be known as voting to keep LATE-TERM ABORTION (for PAIN-CAPABLE babies) LEGAL???

This could be “the last straw” for millions of Americans who rightly detest late-term abortions because these acts of murder are so UNSPEAKABLE.

Thanks for telling me, about a third of the way into your post, just who you meant by "congress".

In a sane world this would not even be an issue. Unfortunately, liberal insanity allows babies to be executed by dismemberment without any concern for the pain and suffering of the child. Please urge your congress critter to support this bill.
