Reporters accompanying presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney yelled questions at Romney about his so-called mistakes and gaffes on his foreign trip as the candidate left the Polish Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw today.
The barrage prompted one of Romney's press aides, Rick Gorka, to lose his cool at reporters. Of course, those reporters are making the aide's profanity the story and not their own incredible rudeness.
A transcript of the incident via CNN's Jim Acosta in Warsaw:
CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?
NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?
Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?
NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"
CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!
Gorka: "Show some respect"
NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."
Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."
Acosta added: Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.
The news media would be crucified if they treated Barack Obama this way (they never would, of course.) They should be crucified for their infantile, insulting behavior.
I thought it was impressive to. I had heard about a lot of it in the past. Still he wasn’t my choice, but stuff like this makes me hopeful for our nation to recover.

When i was a student I volunteered at the symphony once a month...
we never sat the audience after the orchestra struck the first note and the first movement started until the break ...usually several minutes...
I never apologized because we expected them to know what they had come to hear and would know the music...
I merely put my finger to my lips and stood there baring the way...
My 5’2” plus heels and gracious smile stood up to big tall men and they ate out of my charmin little hand...
I dont remember ever having an obnoxious one because the others would have just stared them down in shame...
They had dressed up to the nines, diamonds and tux and spent a lot of money for their special night out and the rules of conduct at those events was expected and part of the exclusive theme for that society...
They also were not to bring their champagne into the hall after the interval...I would just shake my head and motion in a nod at their glass...ala Deborah Kerr...
I was fortunate that this was about 30 years ago and in a more gracious place ...
It was fun and I got to hear a lot of great music for nothing...
I was going to school on the old GI Bill and there was no money for extras...
Fortunately I already had an acceptable wardrobe of evening gowns...

I’m afraid Mr. Gorka will be looking for work soon. One doesn’t tell anyone to kiss one’s a@# on a “Holy site” for anyone, especially not with the cameras rolling. If he can’t take the heat, he doesn’t belong in the kitchen.

Your posting sounds like it would be a great bullet radio or tv ad for Romney; it completely crystallizes all the contrasts...who Romney is and who Obama wasn’t!
