As Romney Finishes Visit to Polish Tomb of Unknown Soldier, Press Screams, "What About Your Gaffes?"
Tuesday, July 31, 2012 | Kristinn

Posted on 07/31/2012 6:14:37 AM PDT by kristinn

Reporters accompanying presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney yelled questions at Romney about his so-called mistakes and gaffes on his foreign trip as the candidate left the Polish Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw today.

The barrage prompted one of Romney's press aides, Rick Gorka, to lose his cool at reporters. Of course, those reporters are making the aide's profanity the story and not their own incredible rudeness.

A transcript of the incident via CNN's Jim Acosta in Warsaw:

CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?

Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"

CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!

Gorka: "Show some respect"

NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."

Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."

Acosta added: Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.

The news media would be crucified if they treated Barack Obama this way (they never would, of course.) They should be crucified for their infantile, insulting behavior.

I'd have told them

"You'll have to tell your handlers you tried, but I wouldn't cooperate."

The press is frothing at the mouth because Romney is winning this election and Obama is headed for embarrasment.

Records since birth! You may not like/approve the data, and that’s OK, but at least they are available. A refreshing concept.

Personal Information:

His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney

He was Born: March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.

His Father: George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan

He was raised in Bloomfield Hills , Michigan

He is Married to Ann Romney since 1969; they five children.

Education:
B.A. from Brigham Young University,

J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University

Religion:
Mormon - The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints

Working Background:

After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.

After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an attorney.

In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States .

In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.

He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.

Some Interesting Facts about Romney:

Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.

Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino’s, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.

He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad’s gubernatorial campaign 1 year.

He was an unpaid intern in his dad’s governor’s office for eight years.

He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years.

He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.

He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.

He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.

Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income.... Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:
He will show us his birth certificate
He will show us his high school and college transcripts.
He will show us his social security card.
He will show us his law degree.
He will show us his draft notice.
He will show us his medical records.
He will show us his income tax records.
He will show us he has nothing to hide.

Mitt Romney’s background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.

You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won’t desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into. We won’t like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney’s background can do it. But, on the minus side, He never was a “Community Organizer”, never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.

You should know the difference between the men running for America’s top office.

Does Obama/Biden deserve 4 more years?

The press thinks they can push Obama's "you didn't build that " gaffe off the front page with manufactured Romney overseas gaffes.

Good luck with that

I’m going to hold my nose and vote for Romney but, personally, I’m getting a little tired of this sustained effort by The Press to get me to like him.

the enemedia, 'Kiss my ass'

Reminds me of the cartoons in the back of the National Lampoon...Fred Kismias.

"So, what's your name?"

"Kismias."

"Oh yeah? Well screw you buddy!"

“Never apologize, mister. It’s a sign of weakness”
—John Wayne in “She Wore A Yellow Ribbon”

Infamously borrowed by TV’s NCIS Leroy Jethro Gibbs as Rule #6: “Never apologize. It’s a sign of weakness.” This rule is used more often than any other rule in the show and widely repeated by fans.

I think you send that to the Romney campaign. They don’t seem to be aware of these facts or are negligent in getting them out.

Obammy could make gaffes left and lefter about 57 states (not including Alaska and Hawaii), reveal his Marxist leanings with “I think it’s better to spread (your) the wealth around”, how his parents came together after the Selma march, etc.

Joe Biden could tell us of a 3 letter word J-O-B-S.

For all of the media’s talk of GW Bush’s and Rick Perry’s “gaffes”, there never was such childish display from the liberal run media during their time as governors of Texas.

It’s a stupid game to play and only plays out on the national level and is strictly a one way affair.

The media took Nixon out.

Back when people only got the news the media whores wanted us to read from papers mostly and some radio.

Now we have more ways of spreading the truth and rebutting the
lying pieces of crap they call reporters.

But the left is still close to controlling those outlets also.

She Wore a Yellow Ribbon

John Wayne as Captain Nathan Brittles. He says the line twice, once to a young lieutenant (Harry Carey Jr. as Lt. Pennell) and to his CO's niece (Joanne Dru as Olivia Dandridge).

What a bizarre thing to say on a thread about the press screaming at Romney in an attempt to generate attention to "gaffes" they decided to invent. I've seen nothing from any of the major "press" that indicates any kind of effort to get anyone to like Romney. The opposite is true as evidenced by the topic of this thread. Are you on another planet?
