Tommy Thompson has donated to Karl Lenin and Bev Perdue!!

It's preposterous for him to point a finger at Hovde - what an old fraud.

Yes, sometimes businessmen cover their bases, so to speak, by donating to another party - we're not babes in the wood, here, no need to blush and look shocked when it comes up.

Hovde is already running better in the polls against Baldwin and would be a far stronger candidate in the general election than that old fossil.

Fitzgerald is laying the groundwork for a future run. Neumann missed his boat when he unilaterally disarmed against Feingold and ushered Russ into the US Senate.

I've seen that movie too many times. The self-financed business guy or gal comes in guns a-blazin', and gets beaten by an old pro, often from attacks that the business guy didn't anticipate.

Fiorina, Whitman and Linda McMahon were the most recent round. Brooks Johnson, Mitt Romney (2002) and Michael Huffington are an earlier go.

Notable exceptions have been Peter Fitzgerald and of course Ron Johnson.

I hadn't known that about Thompson. That's good to know, especially since Perdue is exceptionally evil in a state that should be solid conservative. Regarding the babe in the wood line, I'd agree except that Hovde is positioning himself as Mr. clean-as-the-wind-driven-snow outsider who can clean the mess.

If Hovde wins the primary, I know he'd be a great upgrade in the Senate. I hope he can prove me wrong about him.
