The re-caulkers are still here, and they’re just as noisy as ever. I think that they have caused the nesting birds to abandon all their nests that are built on our outside light fixtures. I sure hope that the birds come back this summer or at least next year. We love the little fledglings and watching them get fed and later, take their first flights.

This is supposed to be the last day that the men are here, and good thing for them because the weather is supposed to turn hot. They really are doing a great job, and we’ll be very happy to be bug free when they’re done. Not to forget our being draft proof as well. We are expecting to see a reduction in our energy bills.

Hubby and kitties are doing well. I took my Rocket outside today, and he got some sunshine and fresh grass. He likes to go out, and I stay out with him and watch him carefully, but he does come to the door and follow me when I come back inside.

He is a good boy.

And how are you, Moosie?

re-caulkers...? ( re-Pointing?)
Other than that, in a strangely good mood.
The day has been warm but overcast.
Have you insulated your loft as well?

The caulking around every window and door in our house has shrunken and cracked leaving 1/2" gaps. The bugs and the weather thus had egress into the house. So we hired a contractor to recaulk them all, and it has taken them three days, but they will finish up today.

Loft? We don't have a loft. The entire house is already insulated, all of the windows are double-paned, and the exterior is brick.

Here is the back yard and the rear of the house. That is myself on the deck.

At least it is now done, and you can stay dry and warm :)

;-D

Yes, we do have a small attic in one portion of the house, and it is insulated,
but we must carry a ladder into the bedroom closet to get up into it, LOL!
For some reason, known only to the designer of the house, the bedroom
closet has a very high ceiling. [WTHeck???]
