Chick-Fil-A-Supporting B&B Owner Lashes Out at Lesbian
People Planet Profit ^ | July 31 2012 | Zack Ford

Posted on 07/31/2012 11:28:07 AM PDT by scottjewell

Joianne Fraschilla is a lesbian mom in New Jersey whose son has been eager to visit the petting zoo at the WhiteBriar Bed & Breakfast they pass by regularly.

This week, they noticed a sign outside the B&B promoting tomorrow’s “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” organized by Mike Huckabee, as well as the message “One man, one woman, one God.”

Fraschilla wrote on the B&B’s Facebook wall that she would not be bringing her son there because she was disappointed a local business was anti-equality. She received the following response, presumably from WhiteBriar co-owner Carole Lokan-Moore:

"Isn’t it wonderful Joanne Fraschilla, that you and your son can enjoy the animals here because I have a traditional marriage with a husband who works with me 90 hours a week to take care of these animals, and the summer camp….we’re 66-68 years old….there were no gays or queers in our time…..if two old ladies chose to live together..so be it, let them deal with God when they get there…but to have the “face sucking” thrown in my face of two gay lesbians who are totally destroying the “normal balance in a child’s life” as you claim your son…where is the role model that your son needs to know how to act like a man? or will he only see the “one sided selfishness” of a “single parent”…and end up an out cast in society by being “gay” himself because he didn’t have a father as a role model. I’ll pray for you….remember what the bible says: “Lay down with dogs, get up with fleas”…..guess that’s why God invented aids…

THIS LOCAL BUSINESS WILL BE ONE MAN ONE WOMAN ONE GOD MAKES MARRIAGE….AND PROUD TO DO SO….YOU SHOULD BE SO LUCKY TO OWN YOUR OWN BUSINESS."

Fraschilla has started a Change.org petition calling on WhiteBriar to apologize for the indefensible comment.

It’s worth noting that Lokan-Moore ran for the New Jersey Senate, but lost in the GOP primary having garnered only 416 votes.

Many conservatives have asked why it matters what Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy personally believes, and the very easy answer is that words hurt...

What is the animals were gay - her son wouldn’t know anything about animals.

I must have missed something here, Where did she thank God for Aids? I read she said “guess that’s why God invented aids”, There is a big difference in the two meanings.

I’m not gay or lesbian, but that response made me uncomfortable. That said, these two people might have coexisted peacefully had the media and politicians not existed. Think about it. This woman wanted to visit a petting zoo (I take her at her word, though it’s suspicious that she never did before posting the facebook taunt) with a boy. Had she arrived at the zoo with the boy or the boy and another woman and acted as modest people do in public, they would have patronized the zoo and gone home without incident.

The merchants both happily operated businesses for years most likely serving homosexuals without incident.

One day a newspaper asks a provocative question. The honest answer causes news outlets to swarm on the story and political opportunists to slither to press conferences to take advantage.

Some boycott, others patronize — not because they desire the services of the businesses but because they want to make a political point.

Polite people get angry and anger other polite people.

Honest to God, the answer to all of this is to turn off the TV and put down the paper. Vote your heart but discuss issues politely. You are going to engage in discussions with people who will not be influenced — disengage.

I’ll let God be in judgement of that. But you seem to know what’s in God’s mind.

That is how many senior citizens, 65 years and older, talk. They were raised in the era before political correctness, and they say unfashionable things about gays, blacks, immigrants, etc.

How old are you? Have you ever volunteered to work with senior citizens? You need to do so, in order to realize how elderly folk talk.

Did you watch the 1970s TV show, “All in the Family”, starring Carroll O’Conner as Archie Bunker?

You don’t know Romans 1 very well.

Verses 18-32 start out with “the wrath of God is revealed from heaven as...”

And I really love people who try to claim that we can’t know what God thinks of anything... that’s the very reason He gave His Word.

I suppose the only verse that matters to you is the half of a verse “do not judge”?

words hurt

Misguided, depraved, vindictive, self-destructive, hedonistic, self-centered lives hurt others as well.

That was not very “Christian” of the owner to thank God for AIDS. It’s crap like that which makes all Christians look like fools.

Oh, come now. She didn't thank God for AIDS. It may be disquieting that God permits it to exist, but people are free to interpret the "why" of the world as they choose, aren't they?

The woman's view is not unique to Christians by any means. I had a friend who worked in a hospital in the early days of AIDS. The area where AIDS sufferers were treated was referred to by residents, interns, and nurses as the "WOG Ward," which stood for "Wrath of God." That's how mystifyingly terrible AIDS seemed. Today most of us politely paper over how indescribably awful the disease is, and distract ourselves from the fact that crazy people knowingly do the unnatural things that lead there.

The summation I remember is that God forgives every time, if we ask right; man forgives sometimes; and nature, never. I wish she were a lot more lenient.

I wasn’t going to comment on the title of the article...
and I certainly wasn’t going to ask if this would be considered a “tongue-lashing”...

Is this woman a Westboro Baptist supporter as well? Does she picket the funerals of American Soldiers? She sure seems like she would be up for it.

WTF? Kind of a big leap of projection there.

That was the line that got to me as well. It was hateful and Christians who do that really don’t help reach others with the Gospel.

Sometimes I wonder why the ones who call themselves “Christian” always seem the least Christian like.

Sometimes I wonder why atheists are the ones to condemn Christians for not acting as atheists believe Christians should behave.

If it costs her her business then I don’t really care. Should not have made that comment.

So these brave people should lose their business for a posted "insult"? Hmmm...No right to free speech, they should lose their business and keep their mouths shut? You are a liberal homophile bigot and I'm calling you out on it. Oh, no, does that mean I deserve to lose my business, now?

I’m pretty much with you. I see STD’s as sort of an earthly reprimand for adultery and fornication as well.

There is an “actions have consequences sort of thing built in to life.

Some of this stuff is like the little “squeel tab” on your brakes that let’s you know it’s time to replace them. It’s a warning to change things before they get worse.

Buy from Buy.com instead...Amazon funds LBGT causes.
