Whoa, good thing that kitty didn’t know the raccoon could inflict some series hurt. My mom had an uncle whose doxie got killed by one, when I was a kid. {{shudder}}
That is how I lost my 18 yr old calico...she wanted to go outside...the hubs let her go out....next thing we hear is MAJOR warfare....a gang of 4 coons got her..poor thing :-(
mine eat bears for snacks
They’re usually shy, nocturnal crittehttp://www.freerepublic.com/perl/post?id=2913003%2C60#helprs, but if cornered or with pups, they’re fierce and nasty. Razor teeth and claws. We had an aggressive, 34-lb male coon w/ rabies wander onto the Farm, that attacked my Jeep’s door (w/me inside) and I shot it 3x w/.45cal 230gr HPs. Health Dept verified rabies. I tracked 2 more 17 & 20 lb-ers in the woods also w/ rabies; shot them too w/AR-10 .308 from a safe distance. Haven’t seen any more aggressive/infected since.
