This Chait guy was pretty funny, too, writing that Dick Obama was using a “black dialect” during his ‘you didn’t build that’ speech. Chait must not get around much.
Anyway, I don’t think obama does a very good “black dialect” himself. Growing up in Indonesia and then with a bunch of rich white and oriental kids in Hawaii didn’t give him much experience. He probably watched “To Sir with Love” over and over again to get with it.
