I’m calling it quits for the evening, too. It’s not often you see something so decisive as this. 12.4% and 123,000 votes ahead and still climbing with still 15% of the votes to be counted.

Yes, indeed. The job of ridding ourselves of moderates and wafflers has just begun. And it started with Ted Cruz’s win here in Texas. It sent a clear message that I hope will resonate with Washington and put them on notice that the Tea Party is alive and well!

Good night. Hope we meet again! I enjoyed our visit at Rus’s house! :)

Well, he did back Dewhurst, so I guess there were reservations, but I’m sure he’ll back the candidate now that we have one. Perry is no fool. Besides, I like him. I would have preferred him over Romney for president any day!

We all have our favorites. :)

Good on Perry.
For all the crap he got for endorsing Dewhurst here, What was he to do?
Not endorse his own Lt Gov?

I'm not. He'll have to prove it.

Why worry about Travis?

18,403 CRUZ
16,331 DEWHURST

The largest county that Dewhurst is winning is Bell County - Kileen, Temple, Ft. Hood.

Ah...when your LT is not a conservative and pulls the crap I’ve read about, no, you don’t endorse him. You endorse the right man for the job and run screaming the other way. In fact you’d have to be a liberal or an idiot to back a blowout loser with a big happy smile.

100000+ people seemed to get that.

Yep, a whooping. Wake up RINO’s! Your days are numbered.

I have a novel idea...instead of sucking up to “moderates” and liberal DEMS “crossing the aisle” why don’t you cross over to proven Conservatism.

Idiots. If we put more true conservatives into Congress in 2012 they better not cave and let Boehner and McConnell keep leadership.

Unfortunately, I have Bob Corker to vote against on Thursday in th primary. He’s a left wing useful idiot. He actually has a commercial running saying, “I want to change the way Washington works” and “we have to get away from party first”.

Really? Since when has he ever put party first? He’s got so many worn out knee pads it should be a fetish on gay porn websites.

And what is worse is that in 2014 we have Lamar! running again. I love this state but I don’t understand this mentality of cult of personality and money. Ala, Gov. Haslam.

With 86.3 percent in:

Cruz - 56.2
Dewhurst - 43.8

Margin is 12.4 percent now. Might get to 15 depending on how it breaks!

Buttwhupping.

“Good on Perry. For all the crap he got for endorsing Dewhurst here, What was he to do? Not endorse his own Lt Gov?”

It was really Dewhurst’s fault for not distancing himself from Perry and renouncing his endorsement...as he found out tonight.

It would be political suicide to go against someone you have endorsed and worked with so long.

Now that Cruz has won, he can endorse Cruz openly.

Yeah, Dewhurts seems to be doing better in small counties with lots of older folks. Everywhere else it’s Cruz.

No, with a 15% margin of victory it would have been a smart move. Say nothing about the ‘right’ one. So now he gets to govern with his people knowing he backed a man that went Democrat with attack ads.

NOT a good move.

From a pure political standpoint the ‘smart’ pol simply bends to prevailing winds in all cases. The one time it would have worked out well for him with the majority of voters, he didn’t.

Hopefully you all will be able to minimize the butthurt he’s likely to take out on the state...assuming he does not run as the dem against Cruz. Are there laws there to stop him switching? The so called sore loser laws?

“Stomped a mudhole in his *** and stomped it dry.”

And he is going to beat out PPP’s poll which had the race at 55/45!
