“Police say the officer came into the Victoria’s Secret looking for the teenager’s mom, who had warrants for her arrest. But it was the teen who got tased.”

So did the cops have warrants for the teenager, or the mother?

Or did the mother have a warrant for the teenager? If so, hth did the mother obtain a warrant for arrest?

This is about as poorly-written as I have ever seen...

The warrants were allegedly for traffic offenses, so it's probably not the 12 year old.

More to the point, how did the officer know she was there? Did she create some disturbance, and her warrant came up when the officer called in her ID? Did he happen to recognize her? Or do the police have something going with the credit-card companies to alert them when somebody with a warrant outstanding makes a purchase?
