Well, the fact is, during Bush’s term with operation Wide Receiver, hundreds of weapons were sent into Mexico, and many were never recovered and were lost in that black hole.

I never disputed what Obama's motives might have been. But the fact remains, during Bush’s term with operation Wide Receiver, hundreds of weapons were sent into Mexico, and many were never recovered and were lost in Mexico.

Bottom line, regardless of who is in charge, or their motives, ya don't intentionally allow U.S. weapons to go into the violence of Mexico, knowing damn well many will simply disappear into that corrupt war zone.

It’s the arrogance of a regime after a coup d’etat.

You deceptively omitted the fact that the ATF under the Bush Administration was trying to track and interdict the much smaller number of purchased guns, sometimes while tracking with GPS devices and sometimes while coordinating with Mexican law enforcement, in an effort to stop the gun trafficking by tracing the existing traffic to the drug cartel leaders. Contrarily the ATF and its agents under the Obama Administration was ordered by the Eric Holder's DOJ not to interdict the far more extensive and consequential gun trafficking under the guise of not being able to successfully prosecute such cases, even when the gun traffickers could have been arrested and prosecuted.

“U.S. firearms being lost and smuggled across the border into Mexico”

This is the way the leftists paint Fast & Furious.

Jail the guilty SOBs..........at GITMO.

With 24/7 cameras that we can tune into when we’re bored and feel like watching snakes slither. Waterboard Wednesdays would serve as a powerful deterrent for aspiring commies of the future.

***She did, however, credit the report for acknowledging that the idea for “gun walking” — allowing illegal weapons sales on the border — originated under the Republican administration before her boss, Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr., took office in 2009.
Bush’s fault. ***

Bush’s people did however remember to put the identifying info in the guns so that they could be tracked and retrieved and the perps arrested. Holder’s people forgot or ignored that little twist.

This is the best example of the “nothing to see here, move along” statement that I can think of.

I didn't omit anything Mr. X. It was a stupid idiot operation regardless of motive.

They found the tracking devises, and cartels who have billions at their disposal, electronically sweep everything going into their compounds and safe areas. Hello??

Then Bush's boys coordinated with corrupt Mexican law enforcement, many of which are on the payroll of these cartels?

Stupid! No?

After that scheme with Bush, did the violence subside? Hell no, the violence exploded and continued, and the fact is many of the weapons in operation Wide Receiver were never recovered and were lost in Mexico.

It would be like intentionally flooding your town with Heroin in the hopes of finding and tracking the users and buyers. Reckless and stupid.

Just for you, regardless of who is in charge, or their motives, ya don't intentionally allow U.S. weapons to go into the violence of Mexico, knowing damn well many will simply disappear into that corrupt war zone, just as they did with Operation Wide Receiver.

These types of lunatic government operations and schemes we're incredibly dangerous, reckless and just plain stupid.

I was about ready to post a comment & noticed your post. Had to go to your post page to see how long I had been asleep in missing your posts. These days I can only mostly lurk and read FR headlines and my pings.

BUT Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thought of you so often and so thrilled you are back.

Just know you were sorely missed and that I have a small understanding of what you have been through as I am currently dealing with similar, multiple family circumstances.

Did I mention I am so heartened to see you are back and posting! :-)

So good to see you too! Just getting back in the swing of things. So sorry to hear about your family dealings. Hang in there and send me freepmail if you need a shoulder to lean on. It’s good to be back. I activated my old twitter account that i started during the drill here srill now debate. I started playing with it on some public comment lines in the msm to support conservative posters and the only two followers I got were hateful gays...LOL. One was a transvestite named Manson that sent me horrible x rated pictures and the other just sent hate mail. Had to block them. I need some FReeper twitter friends to follow and tweet with. LOL. I don’t know what I am doing yet, but am just following a bunch of conservative talkers and sites.

Bush’s failed program put tracking devices in the stocks. Since the program failed, the Bush administration stopped it.

The progressives loved the failure of Bush’s program so much, they streamlined it, pumped it up on steroids and used it to send thousands of guns over the border.

But let’s blame Bush.
