A minimum oversampling of democrats of 6% yields a 6% lead for 0bama?

Yep, looks good! /s

no way in hell they would vote for Obama this time around

Did you ask them why they became racists?

Note the accompanying CBS/NYT/BS poll: “89% of gun owners would swap their guns for baby unicorns”.

I’m not a mole. But a Gallup survey from Jan. 2009 has Oh at solid democrat and Fl. at leans democrat. Now that doesn’t mean they all vote their affiliation...that’s why I posted Oklahoma as an example. But it also doesn’t mean they should make it equal R’s and D’s in their survey.

Why is it that someone, who bought into the notion that the polls were wrong in 2008 and got burned, is labelled a troll/mole when they post a warning based on their experience that things might not be rosy?

Glad to hear that... who's the source?

See post #64 (above). Gallup. To be precise it's Ohio D+1.3 FL D+1.8, rounded off to 1.5 and 2 respectively.

Rasmussen also has an Obama lead in Ohio, but only by 2 points.

Rasmussen has a much more likely party affiliation weighting. And to suggest Ohio leans democratic is simply a denial of history.

I forget Rasmussen’s numbers on Florida, but I believe he had a tie or a slight Romney edge.

He also has Romney ahead nationally by a few. The national polls are always deceptive, though, because the election is state-by-state. A national lead, though, says that Romney is holding his own for the time being.

To win, though, he needs to shake loose the swing states. His strategy so far has not accomplished that, but it’s still early.

By this time in 2008, this area (surrounding Pittsburgh) was full of Obama bumper stickers and signs. Not so this year. I don’t know what to make of PA. The non working class will vote for Obama, they are brainwashed. In 2008, the central part of the state was convinced to stay home and not vote, and I see the same people posting on thread after thread here on FR attempting to do the same this year.

Good, I feel a bit better. That’s much better than what I had seen. The 2009 results are what pops up first in yahoo. And, the reason they are believable is because in many red states, people have changed the way they vote but not their registered affiliation.

Oh please. That mantra is tiring.

You GOPe folks sure say that a lot. Well too bad. You gave us a horrible candidate and your pat on the back will be remembered. I can’t wait to prove how horrible Romney is every single day of his Presidency. You will be sorry.

You mean "patriots" like Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rob Portman, Marco Rubio, on and on and on, ALL of whom have endorsed Romney? Those patriots? Or do you have some others in mind? Ron Paul---who all too happily sided with Romney in primaries to defeat Newt and Herman, but now is pulling his typical Paulista crap. That patriot? Puh-lease. If you REALLY need a program, here it is:

Mitt's the nominee.

Obama is the enemy.

I live in OH and have heard disappointed Dem’s expressing their concerns, seriously considering voting for Romney. Son-in-law’s friends that voted for the cool guy last time absolutely voting against him this time. Eyes have been opened - many Dem’s are still patriots and can’t stomach any more BO.

Sooo . . . Zero won OH by four in 08, yet we are to believe that the margin will be double that this time around?

He won FL by 2.8, but we are to believe the margin has almost doubled?

This is the most disgusting type of propaganda, and if they are having to jimmy the numbers this badly, Mitt must not be doing well. He is doing VERY well.

...a Gallup survey from Jan. 2009 has Oh at solid democrat...

In 2010, Republican Kasich defeated Democrat incumbent Strickland in the Governor's race, Republican Portman held the Senate seat, and Republicans took over the Ohio State House, and increased their majority in the State Senate.

...Fl. at leans democrat.

In 2010, Florida elected Republican Rick Scott over Democrat Alex Sink in the Governor's race, Republican Marco Rubio over Independent Charlie Crist and Democrat Kendrick Meek, and Republicans picked up 5 seats in the State House and 2 seats in the State Senate.

In Pennsylvania in 2010, Republicans elected Tom Corbett as Governor, a switch from Democrat Ed Rendell, held their majority in the State Senate, and took over the State House majority.

A lot has changed in these three states since the poll you cited was taken in January of 2009.

I think Romney will take Florida also.
He definitely will if Rubio is chosen as VP.
Ohio will be closer, but I tend to agree with you that Romney will take that too.

Pennsylvania I have no opinion on, as I have not read too much about it’s status.

I pray that day comes, because that would mean that the current occupier is no longer in power.
You don’t know me from Adam, but I tell you this ; There is no greater danger to this country than the little narcissist child in charge of it...
And her husband as well.

If voting for Romney means less of a threat to this nation I love, then you can bet your ass I’ll do it

I personally know two women who voted for Obama who love Romney. Also, my students would vote Dem, but nowhere near in #s like they did in 08.
