Warning: Contains Chick-fil-A facts toxic to your rage

You know the story by now.

You know that during a visit to North Carolina last month, Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy gave an interview to the Cary-based Biblical Recorder, which has been writing about Baptists hereabouts since 1833. Cathy was asked about his company’s family-oriented values, which include closing restaurants on Sundays.

You know that Cathy said: “We are very much supportive of the family – the Biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”

You know that the Jim Henson Co. asked that its toys no longer be distributed with Chick-fil-A kid’s meals, that the mayor of Boston said the chain’s restaurants are not welcome there and that gay-rights groups called for boycotts because of Cathy’s remarks were construed as opposition to gay marriage.

Do you know the whole story?

No.

Did Cathy ever use the words gay or same-sex marriage in the interview?

No.

bigtoona...thanks for pointing out this article.

I would never have seen it as we don’t subscribe to the Charlotte Disturber anymore.

Mark Washburn will get a tongue lashing over this, I bet!

I like to point out to those that claim a SUPPORT Of traditional marriage is an attack on gay marriage that their SUPPORT OF gay marriage is then an attack on traditional marriage.

I have yet to find one that will accept their own logic.

Went to Chick-fil-a this morning for breakfast, just got back. The place was packed with three police cars in parking lot. Went in to eat and there were two flamers with a poster sign screaming,”ENJOY YOUR BISCUITS OF HATE!”....
One of them walked up and asked in a loud voice if I support this homophobic business and their chicken of hate.... I started to laugh... And I mean laughed out loud laugh... And then the people in the restaurant started to laugh... Everyone was laughing so hard we were crying... This made the two flamers even more mad.....And they left... Biscuits of hate... That just tickled my funny bone...

According to my liberal activist daughter, Chick-fil-a is considered anti-gay not because of the interview cited, but because they provided financial support for organizations that campaigned for Prop 8 - or whatever the California referendum was that opposed Gay marriage.

Every business that believes in freedom, prosperity (which creates profit), and Americas future should stand up and say they support traditional family values and freedom! Just come out and say it!

The libs can’t protest them all and this would shut down the entire homo agenda TYRANNY instantly. They would never be able to hold a business hostage again.

“Biscuits of hate,” huh? Now that IS funny. What a bunch of self-important narcissist nincompoops.

And that was a great response - ridicule, right out of the Alinsky playbook. They really, really hate it when they get a dose of their own medicine.

Actually, this is illustrative of the left’s actual position on this issue.

They aren’t pro gay “marriage”, they’re anti biblical marriage, because the statement that they object to so much is a pro-biblical marriage statement.

Went to a Chick-fil-A in Springfield, VA, this afternoon for lunch. The line was out the door.

It looked like the restaurant was prepared... at least 4 managers and 10 other employees working in the front of the restaurant(could’t see into the back). For as busy as it was, the service was pretty fast and all the employees were extremely friendly. I hope all of their restaurants do as much business today.

Just got back from there at lunchtime. Wow, it was crazy. It took us almost an hour to get through the drive through. People were parking at stores down the road and walked to Chick-Fil-A. The line snaked through the restaurant and out the door. Cars were lined up in every direction to get into the parking lot. Police eventually came to direct traffic. Can’t wait to see what their sales were for today.
