What is the "hard times generation?" That is the official name of the 16 million kids living homeless and in poverty in Obama's government sponsored society. Whereas during the tenure of President Herbert Hoover, Hoovervilles were Depression era shanty towns of the poor peppering the country, President Obama now has his own version of Hoovervilles in the " hard times generation." How utterly disgraceful especially when we are told by President Obama that his plans are working and that he is succeeding in repairing the economy!

President Obama wants another 4 years to finish what he started. Michelle Obama is jet setting all over the world wearing $7,000 coats and hob knobbing with the rich and famous on million dollar vacations at tax payer expense. The president chides the American people how we don't create businesses. The government does. The government is the end all to society's problems. The government will provide our every need as it sees letting people keeping their hard earned salaries as a giveaway.

If government is the great savior, as President Obama keeps assuring us, why are more and more children living in poverty? As a matter of fact, we have over 16 million kids living in poverty now and that level has not been seen since 1962. Why are more and more kids homeless living in cars if Obama policies are working? As you watch this "60 Minutes" report notice who is stepping up to help these kids. We will give you one guess and it is not government. On the contrary, Obama's government is failing these kids as it is failing at everything it has touched in a most cruel and heartless way!

Against a backdrop of 16 million homeless kids, it would be interesting to consider what could have been done with the tens of millions of dollars spent by Michelle Obama on her jet setting vacations. In this "60 Minute" segment one million dollars was donated by ordinary hard working Americans which paid to house 400 families. Thousands more could have been housed as well on Michelle's vacation budgets but she did not make that sacrifice. It was ordinary Americans, the real America, that helped other Americans. Government was no where to be found here. Neither was President Obama as he desperately runs around the country  raising hundreds of millions more to get himself re-elected while millions of kids sleep in their cars their new homes.

We are told the economy is falling back into recession. The president's policies are hatching failure after failure after failure. His trillion dollar stimulus programs have all failed. Solyndra was a scam from the start. General Motors is collapsing and has now resorted to subprime loans because they can't give their cars away. General Motors electric car is a complete failures with the manufacturing plant for this car having to be shut down continually because there is no demand for Obama's brainchild. Obama had the opportunity just recently to add hundreds of thousands of jobs by approving the XL Pipepline. He so ruined that opportunity that the Chinese have bought the company that would have made this possible and the pipeline is no more. We could have become energy independent from the Middle East and Obama saw to it this would not happen. Look at anything Obama touches, and you see human misery, failure, and economic blight. The Federal Reserve is about to embark on another round of quantitative easing in the tens of trillions of dollars in order to kick the can down the road which will end in total collapse. The LIBOR scandal is corruption on display on a scale beyond comprehension.

Obama's legacy is one of corruption and delusion where the wealth of the country is given to a very few. Does Obama measure his success by how badly the average American is doing?  The more people starve and perish in North Korea, the more its ruler reassures the populace that it benefits from one of the greatest economies in the world. Is Obama honestly telling us the private sector is doing just fine because 16 million kids are homeless? Is that his measure of success? Do you remember what got President Bush (41) booted out of office? There was a mild recession by today's standards and President Bush in an interview was asked about his faltering economy. He said something to the effect that he did not think there was a faltering economy. The voters did not forgive him for that and voted him out. We would gladly trade the recession of those days compared to the economic meltdown of today. Obama on the other hand seems to be having Bush(41) moments seemingly every week and he expects everyone to pretend we are in a utopian renaissance. Is Obama competing with North Korean rulers in delusional standards of cruelty?

Does anyone stop to think that if we took a small percentage of those trillions thoroughly wasted and set it aside for the basic needs of these kids none would have to be homeless? Instead, Obama has to take all the money, run it through government, have his supporters take their cut all the way at the top, and then lecture the rest of us that whatever pittance we have left not taken by crushing taxes is a giveaway to us all.

Obama's legacy is abject failure at every level and he does not even have the humanity to address this humanitarian catastrophe. Stop and think for a minute. 16 million homeless kids some living in cars. This is Obama's America! He hides from it, as he and his wife lavish themselves in the best of everything. We understand that presidents cannot micro-manage a huge economy like the American economy; however, when he flagrantly says that he has succeeded and that his policies are working while 16 million kids (and growing) are living in poverty the most in 50 years Obama has just become a cruel bully and a coward amongst the ranks of the worst of dictators and psychopathic rulers.

Amazing! The video featured in this article is heart breaking. This is Obama's America. It is true. The people doing something about this are ordinary Americans not government. Obama is a slob!

The homeless stats were used against Reagan mercilessly. We should be making more of the high number of homeless people under Obama’s reign.

Things are actually looking up in the "poverty" discussion. More and more normal people (working net-paying taxpayers) are becoming aware of the actual cause and effect relationship of the subject.

National official policy, and the explosion of the national culture of societal parasites is too clear to ignore further.

The pressure to visit this abuse is reaching the critical point.

Good luck to Obama, his Soros investors, the radical communists and the "transformers" of America.

Kids living in poverty... hum..!
Don’t exactly know how that is possible.
FIRST they had to have parents or at least a mother and a male (or males -undetermined) which were responsible for their birth.
hum...
Have to think about that. - Not really.
I already know for a fact that there were parents (in quotes) that brought forth such children.
My question is - why aren’t they responsible for said children?
Actually I know the answer to that question. AND THE ANSWER IS - BING BING BING - They are responsible but have been released from being publicly humiliated by Liberals who think that we all should be responsible for bastards/forgotten children.
-— of course none of “said” Liberals ACTUALLY take responsibility. They just accept that “society” will step in and make everything right.
Fact is that nobody does, so the urchins just keep getting more antisocial, etc. Problem is that this perpetuates even more bastards, forgotten children and abused children.
As for myself, I hold the parents responsible and would have them jailed until such time as they actively (and I mean - proactively) took their responsibilities seriously.
Otherwise they can rot in jail.

“Never try to out stubborn a cat.”

“Never try to out empathize a Liberal.”

“Do not confuse “duty” with what other people expect of you; they are utterly different.

Duty is a debt you owe to yourself to fulfill obligations you have assumed voluntarily.

Paying that debt can entail anything from years of patient work to instant willingness to die. Difficult it may be, but the reward is self-respect.

I agree with you. The point of the article was that if Obama’s policies are working why are there so many homeless kids? If government takes care of everyone, does it do that by puting more and more kids out on the street?
