Each plea for money from President Obama and his allies has become more urgent and desperate than the last.
His campaign’s chief operating officer said on Monday that “we’ve gotten our behinds handed to us.”
Vice President Joe Biden warned on the same day that Mr. Obama would lose if “the other side spends us into oblivion.”
Michele Obama worried aloud about waking up on election day “wondering if I could have done more.” And Al Gore, the former vice president, said victories by the “extremist fringe” would “spell disaster” for the country.
The answer, according to all of them? A donation of $3 (or more) by midnight on Tuesday. (The e-mails don’t say “Pretty please!” — yet.)

The Dems are setting up an excuse for the disastrous loss they know is coming in Nov. As for me and my house, we will crawl to the polls on broken glass to throw this bum out of the White House.
Hate or hate Romney more but the guy is getting done fundraising unlike McQueeg did in 2008. I think the Obama team got caught flat footed on that one. They blew their wad with Bain, did not work, if you beleive the polls they are dead even which means Romney is ahead 2-4 points and in battleground states like Ohio Obama may lose 5-10 points off his 2008 numbers.

I’ve never contributed to any political party and I’m not a “Romney-bot” but all these pleas from O to send him a few bucks incline me to send a few to Romney.

The Obama campaign was raising money the same way in 2008. What’s different this time around?

At the rate our economy is going, that is about all our paper dollars will be worth eventually.
