Politico is writing fiction. I have read the FR after action reports and no one is mentioning protesters.

I have seen one report of a protester: someone called in a bomb threat to a packed out CFA.
The lines at the south bay CFA were at least a half mile down Hawthorne Blvd just to get into the parking lot in a heavily minority neighborhood. There were no protesters in sight. None. Just a lot of happy customers and happy employees.
The only people with signs at our CFA were touting the Republican nominee for the House.
