The House Tuesday passed a measure 261-114 to remove 200 presidential appointments from the Senates purview for confirmation hearings and votes.
It eliminates the requirement of Senate approval for such positions as rural utility services administrator, board directors of the commodity credit corporation, the assistant administrator for grant programs at FEMA, and assistant secretaries for management.
The bill originated in the Senate last year where it passed 79-20, and reduces the number of confirmations from 1,200 to 1,000.
Rep. Tom Graves (R-Ga.) said he voted against the measure because it was the constitutional duty of the other body to offer its advice and consent on those positions and that the president already controls 2,700 political appointees without congressional overview.

In four years Romney, with a Republican Congress who will be forced to do his will, will cause more damage to our Republic than Obama can with an opposing Republican Congress.
If there are to many to vote on might I suggest this...
Eliminate the positions at the bottom of the food chain.
Much easier than tossing their constitutional duty out the window.
Oh look... and it saves us money. Nice side effect.
A$$hats! Now he can pack the ranks with more of his Marxist buddies who will become unremovable. Geeeez! What lamebrains the Pubbies are.

Clears the deck for President Romney to expedite appointing his people to plum jobs?
Agree. Silly that the assistant undersecretary for dog catchers needs some sort of approval. FOCUS, people. We need to be ELIMINATING these jobs, not worrying about approvals,
