I agree, and Cheney dident even get his facts strait, Sarah’s 2 years as Governor and many more as Mayor made her the most relevantly experience person running for president or vice president that year.
Legislative experience does not translate to executive experience. If anything the political baggage hurts you. That is why no president that has come from either the house or the senate turned out to be very good.
An executive has to lead men of all factions to practical goals not usually set himself. Legislator has to represent a small pardisin faction of men & ideology to create and advance a proposed goal.
A Legislator will find himself disagreeable by most, and can deal with even being hated by most. An executive cannot deal with being hated by most and must find a way to get most to agree with at least enough of the set agenda to implement it.
