I would say to chik-fil-a come to Boston and the surrounding areas, I think they would find there would be as much if not more support then not. Of course the college crowd would be full of animosity, but the average Bay Stater would certainly be supportive. The citizens of Massachusetts were NEVER Allowed to vote on gay marriage. It was decided by an activist judge who pushed her own agenda on the citizens of Mass. There were a couple of petition movements to place it on the ballot so the citizens could make the decision, but the lawmakers would not even allow it to go forward as a ballot initiative because they knew that the vote against would most likely win. Also folks became afraid to sign any petitions requesting it go to a citizen’s vote because at some point a list of names, addresses and phone numbers of those who signed the petitions were released so that those who signed the petition could be threatened and intimidated by activists who wanted to change the legal definition of marriage in Mass. That is why “gay marriage” is legal in Mass, it was not the choice of the citizens, but of one activist judge and a majority democrat State legislature that basically took away the right of the voters to even request a vote on the matter without facing threats and intimidation by violent opponents of a vote on the issue.

This is what I saw at the Burlington Mall (Burlington, MA) yesterday at noon:

I estimated 200-300 people. Another Freeper who went at 1300 said it was much more, 400-500.

Maybe it isn't a lost cause up here.
