OK, it’s late and I have to hit the hay, but I just had to share an e-mail I just received from a friend:

FIVE RULES TO REMEMBER IN LIFE :

1.. Money cannot buy happiness, but its more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle.

2.. Forgive your enemy, but remember the bastard’s name.

3.. Help someone when they are in trouble and they will remember you when they’re in trouble again.

4.. Many people are alive only because it’s illegal to shoot them.

5.. Reforming an Obama supporter is like trying to pick up a turd by it’s clean end.

See yunz all in the morning in time for the show!

sneaks

My Pastor has a standing policy, any candidate for public office has an open invitation to speak at a Sunday, or Wednsday evening service. I asked J.D.’s wife if he would be interested in speaking at a service, a few days later I recieved an e-mail from the scheduler, stating that J.D. would be there. He made a three hour drive each way to speak at a Sunday evening service. That’s the kind of guy J.D. is.

LOL! #5... EWWWW!!!

Found out at the last minute about a local Tea Party having their monthly meeting. Was dressed and out the door within five minutes. Decent number of people showed up and heard from different reps and new candidates.

One of our reps is a Christian singer who explained the history behind Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America” and led us all into singing it. Pretty darn cool and empowering.

One of the new candidates is a retired vet who is sick to death of where our country is going and says he has to serve again, this time in D.C.

Others were state reps who weathered the chaos in Madison last year in their first terms. Applause for their service and courage against the obnoxious mobs who infested our beautiful Capital and harrassed them to no end...

Morning c-b 1! Welcome to the thread! I’ve enjoyed JD this week. I listened to him when he filled in for Chris Plante on WMAL in Washington, DC several weeks ago. How does your pastor get away with allowing a politician to speak at a service? I thought only the democrats were allowed to do that! lol! Mind you, it was from the pulpits that our country was created, and I’m all for it, but the IRS disagrees. :-))

Yep, I’m getting involved too. My house is supposed to be serving as a sub-center distribution point for signs, bumper stickers, etc for Tom Smith. He’s challenging Bob Casey, the useless lib Obama drone we have in the senate in DC. Tom is like your retired vet who has decided to run. He’s sick and tired of what he sees too. He’s a local farmer and was a coal mine owner for many years. We haven’t had a Tea Party here for awhile. If they do, I’ll be there. I need to make it to our Indiana/Armstrong Patriots meeting.

All these clowns doing the kiss in today...will they be spending money thus adding to the corporate profits? If not why do they think they can just hang out?

I was thinking of going but it’s not worth it.

Like the caller just said the only reason they are there is to get a reaction. Ignoring them will devastate them, LOL!

Ick. That’s just a spectacle I’d rather not witness. I agree; When (if) the six or ten protesters show up, I hope they are ignored.

Just listened to the Adam Smith audio. I don’t know if I agree with him being fired. He was expressing an opinion. I guess he’s getting a taste of his own medicine?

Good morning n’@!

JD Hayworth has done a wonderful job this week. He has a dry sense of humor and irony. Love that he calls himself a recovering Congressman.

I’m proud of you sneaks for volunteering for Tom Smith. He needs ALL of our help to defeat the Obot Casey. Wonder if Barry will campaign for Bobby?

The Adam Smith story is fascinating. He needed to be fired...and I bet the management of Vante was READY to do so—because anyone that a-holeish (in a two minute video) must be charming in real life. He waited in a long CFA line (videoing himself and his commentary—ALL CFA customers for eating there. Every last one! Then got to the window and videod the young girl (who probably makes $8 an hour) for her company’s “stand.”. He films the kid WITHOUT her permission and posts it her on YouTube. He is so smug and arrogant—condescending and creepy—and the CFA employee, Rachel, just takes and tries to adhere to the “thank the customer a d be polite” policy. I hope Rachel gets some sweet job offers (or help with college tuition) because she made Smith looks even worse than he did by being pleasant...honest—at my age and how I have to deal with customers (who can be idiots) he would have been wearing his free water back to the office.

IRS regulations don't dictate who can, and can't speak in a church, the pastor can't promote a candidate from the pulpit, the church can't endorse a candidate. When a candidate speaks, the pastor goes, and sits in the back, I or one of the other men introduce the candidate, and run things until the candidate is finished. It is done as educational, so the congregation knows what the candidate stands for.

Churches are not required to be a 501 C-3 corporation of the state, the IRS has no control over a non 501 C-3 church. Lending institutions require a church to have a 501 C-3, if there is a mortgage on the property.

Most preachers don't study the regs, they have been frightened away from having anything to do with politics, they are afraid of losing their 501 C-3 which they are not required to have. C
