Does she represent her nation well? If not then Germany has every right to insist she leave. For one thing Germany doesn't have free speech. For another - they have every right to determine who can and who cannot represent them in the Olympics.

If the action was from the Olympic Committee then the athletes from nations that admire Hitler while simultaneously denying the Holocaust (then what do they admire Hitler for?) would ALL have to go.

But it wasn't. Germany decided she was an embarrassment and Germany (no doubt) asked her to leave - and she ‘voluntarily’ withdrew.

If one of our athletes started making a stink for America - we would no doubt also ask them to go home.

No athlete has the ‘right’ to represent their nation in the Olympics.

Boogieman in post six made much the same point, and I thought the point was a good one. :) Thanks.
