A loss for Mitt Romney would not necessarily spell long lasting disaster for Republicans, nor would it be the death-knell to conservatism

But on the other hand -  A WIN for Romney would indeed be a huge set-back for conservatism.

Not choosing a tea party VP that is electable in 2016 is a kick in the balls for the conservatives. I get everyones point. Romney is a Clymer, and Obama a douche. I’ve heard arguments on both sides and get them both. If Romney wins, we possibly turns the reigns back to the libatards if/when Romney doesn’t pull a hat trick in four years.

If Obama wins you won’t see a conservative government in your lifetime or your childrens lifetimes or your childrens children etc. Not because of Obama but because the American voters will have made it plain that there is no turning back now from the abyss.

“A WIN for Romney would indeed be a huge set-back for conservatism.”

Actually, the setback occurred years ago. Do you mean it would be a worse setback if Romney were to win?
